What is 'our facility' in this context?
Time will tell if you're right and the cars will be getting a transaxle or not. My guess is still not and a conventional setup.
Having two manufacturers team up to reduce cost and then producing 2 cars with completely differently designed drivelines is not very likely in my view. Technically possible sure, just very expensive. But the automotive industry is filled with economical fuckups so who knows
I cant get any detail from your pic though. Could be anything. Even the cars orientation isnt clear.
Could be a torque tube with diff, could be a torque tube with transaxle (although very very small imho), could be a chassis crevise for the propshaft with diff etc etc
