2/23 111 Order received
3/7 102 Scheduled for production
3/14 150 Production begins
Frozen colours only add time during the allocation phase. Once you hit 150 individual or frozen paints don’t add any build time.

The extra “time” is that you were status 102 while the rest of us were 111/112. As far as I know 102 is when they accept an individual order but it is not yet scheduled for production.

Frozen colours are the same colours just with a different clear coat. Individual colours are different colours. The added time is coordinating with the factory.

I’ve seen tier 1 as 5.29% for 60 and 5.79% for 72.

Is this directly from BMWFS or a dealer?

It’s the published rates for the Z4 through April 1. Dealers can mark them up an additional 1%.

They can try to add a point and one can just say no. When I purchased my 2022 the rate on the USA website was advertised at .9% and the finance manager tried to charge me 1.9%. I refused to pay the extra point, made her go to the USA site and she eventually backed down and matched what was advertised online.

That being said, every dealer is different and some may play hardball. We as customers can always walk out if the deal isn't right.

Agreed. I’d also check with a bank/credit union just to have that in your pocket.

It looks like mine will go to Baltimore. Do you know what port yours should come into?

I'm seeing 6.09% there right now. What a difference over just a few years. Dealer quoted me 6.29%, not much different. If I were to take it, they will let me have a lower rate if it happens but it won't go higher.

This is correct. You can lock in the rate/incentives when you place the order. If it goes lower or the incentives get better when you take delivery you can than take advantage of that. But they won’t get worse .

I meant BMW USA’S website where they advertise the available rates.

Mine will land in Halifax. We only have one port for the entire country for cars coming from Europe.

Once it’s at port I’ll be able to figure out which boat it’s on by checking the schedule for Halifax. That schedule is published about 1 month out so too early right now.

I've always financed my cars through my credit union for the last decade and half. Their rates are usually unbeatable, unless the manufacturers are running special APR promos. That said, are there any advantages of going with BMW Financial instead of another bank/credit union?

In most cases you have to use BMWFS to take advantage of any incentives/offers (military being the exception). Not an issue with the Z4 at the moment, as nothing is avaliable.

On the BMW USA home page you will see Online Shopping Tools - Lease and Finance offers on the very bottom of the page. When you click on it and then select finance offers it will bring you to a page where they ask for your personal information and direct you to your dealer for rate quotes.

When I purchased my Z4 in Sept., 2021 they showed the rate on their USA website and you didn’t have to contact a dealer for a quote.

They still do show rates for certain models at the moment, just not the Z4. For example, X3 shows 2.99% if you click on that model.
