What does production week number 15 mean? Thanks.

That means the 15th week of the calendar year. Essentially, next week.

I was wondering why the Ro-Ro carrier has been doing circles in English Channel for the last day or 2. It looks like the North Atlantic is pretty rough right now.

But not all is doom and gloom! Cepheus Leader is joining the circle dance to wait out the storm. The green dot on the right is Apollon Highway.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_state

Edit: We were on a Mediterranean cruise last November and sailed through waves up to 10 meters tall for 2 days. It was rough.

Just lask week.... Yes, I've got a production number so I can track things online

So mine is at the port. How do I figure out which car carrier she will be on when she is loaded and in transit? I’d love to track the car carrier.

Once your car is showing "In Transit" in My BMW Garage, you can call BMW Genius for the ship's name. They'll need either the production number or the VIN to look it up.

I've been entering production for a week or two now. Either not getting updated, or not very fast.

It was the longest factory step for me (between production starting and finishing).

If it's set up like most car factories, the painting typically happens in another building or another section of the building, then it takes a bit queueing for it to enter the rest of the assembly line.

Quite a few of our cars bound for east coast are shipped on K-Line. Mine is on Apollon Highway. I've seen Victoria Highway and Polaris Highway mentioned in this thread as well.

Their schedule here: https://www.klineglobalroro.com/sche...f_schedule.pdf

So jealous of you guys! I'm still waiting for an allocation. I did take the step to call about 10 dealers in nearby cities and had no luck so far. My local dealer even says they haven't even started manufacturing them, which I know is a lie based on this thread.

Happy Thursday Afternoon,

Here is the (relative) current position of Cepheus Leader - My Z4 and I believe some others are on the ship - first stop: Southampton, UK, second stop: Cartagena, Colombia, and third stop: Oxnard, CA! ETA Oxnard, CA: May 2nd.

I'm literally counting the days and soon will be counting the hours. If I could go to CA to get the Z4 I would, but alas I have to wait for the car to get to Colorado and to the dealer. The stop in Cartagena is killing me - I can only hope the Z4 is treated to the best hospitality and watches from a safe distance people having fun on the beautiful coastline of Colombia (Cartagena is a really cool place, btw) before continuing on to CA. At this point, the car should have its own passport.

For those on the forum who can't seem to get an allocation - keep trying and try other dealers. Go out of state. Call BMW NA and ask for help. Contact dealers/individuals with a strong affiliation with the BMWCCA and ask for a contact at a dealer who knows what they are doing. Most dealers seem to be completely clueless about this car and want to sell what's easy - a grey X3 on the lot. Find someone with a brain in the "On" position and best of luck!

Let’s hope there are no spontaneous combustion EV’s aboard that ship!

I think today is officially a month that my car has been sitting in Bremerhaven without getting on a boat, and no timing available from BMW. Super frustrating. None of my other new BMW orders have taken this long to get moving.

I’ve posted this before, but mine sat there for over 5 weeks around this time last year. Hopefully soon for you.
