G29 trunk error - no camera

Was replacing rear emblem. Removed lining to access back side of badge (didn’t need to). Now shows trunk open (it’s not) and rear camera is dead. I checked all my connections. Any ideas? Anyone know what fuse runs these?

Besides checking all the connections, might be worth trying resetting iDrive and/or clearing error codes.

I'm not sure but, based upon the fuse card, there's an icon which looks like a trunk lid open. I'd start there. F3, F225, F226, F254, F264.

I'm guessing you put the lining back? Either way, maybe take another look in there, see if you accidentally unplugged something. For example a sensor (if there is one) which detects if the trunk is closed or not.

i've had this happen when the latch for the lock was misaligned because i hit it with a shopping bag (the hook on the bottom inside the trunk), the trunk wouldn't always close properly either. Managed to move it back in position and never had the issue again

Also once when one of the straps of my backpacks accidentially got stuck between the trunk lock.

I took the liner back out, checked all the connections and the problem went away. Thanks all

I had this happen once as well, the trunk pull cable was loose. I messed around with it and remounted it and it started working again.
