Color accents for a black interior?

I really like my z4, but I have a very black, very understated sensatac black interior. Everything is black. It's almost like sitting in Darth Vader's lap driving his customized BMW M-sport Tie Fighter. Okay, that makes it sound cool, and probably slightly cooler than my black-on-black-on-black interior is. Any suggestions for how to make the interior a little less, well, black. yet still maintain the interior general decorum?

Sounds like you don't have ambient lighting?

What’s your center console trim? Could maybe swap that out (assuming you have the gloss black).

Also if using bimmercode you can turn the accent lights pure red.

Even little pops of color, like the red Start and Volume buttons from IND will help.

Perhaps some Cocomats?

With all black interior, many option choices for the accent colors. Love them in our '15 MINI Roadster..have black with red dots; wear like iron, are heavy and stay in place with their custom, built-in fasteners that match the BMW carpet velcro pads

I enjoy the Sensatec blackness & simplicity as enhanced by the ambient lighting & my minor mods.

Thanks for all the ideas. One thing I’m trying is blue charging cords that are pretty close to my Misano blue exterior. I tend to favor blue over red for this car. I do have ambient lighting. I usually use the purple. I am also trying seat belt cushions from my favorite teams. Is the start button easy to replace?

Seeing that you want a blue accent I am going back to my car mat recommendation. Fortuna Car mats also offers a black mat with a blue edge and you can add the "BMW M" badge and heel protection for only $94.

I can't speak to their quality as I have never purchased anything from them but for the price is sounds very reasonable.

If anyone trailblazes the mats, please share how it goes, especially for fitment. My default is to store carpeted mats in my garage attic and throw all seasons in their place for daily duty for the next million years. But if these fit well for $100-ish that's not a bad option.
