Japanese car magazine reported the same thing last week.

Quote:
The model name of the 3L turbo is "B58T", the output is 250kW (340ps), the 2L turbo is named "B48T", the high power version is 190 kW (258 ps), the standard version is 145 kW (197 ps).

Maybe it's already been commented on, but bringing back the Supra name plate is a bold move. If that car isn't a monster it's going to be a big let down. I would think it'd be closer to a GTR rival than a mid-life crisis roadster but what do I know. :

So does that mean that no MT will be offered in the Z4? If that's the case, people running BMW have lost their damned minds.

Posted this in the F80 forums (because I have an F80) but figured I'd post it here. Spotted this guy in Tinmath, CO a couple of weekends ago. Also saw either an M3 G80 or regular 3 series but didn't get to snap a shot of it!

The car my father-in-law bought after only ever owning Ford Ranger trucks his whole life: Chrysler CrossFire.

Never heard of that?

These usually fit the bill of a mid-life crisis car. Owned by wealthy/moderate wealthy men from 45-55 yrs of age who are trying to recapture their youth.

Convertible:
Corvette
911
M3
Miata
Old school Trans Am with its T-top.

So E85 is not a midlife crisis roadster? Whew that's a relief! Because I am looking at one.

They don't have plans for an M model again anyway ? I guess BMW AG will let Toyota make the real sportscar.

If only the engine was even close to being as special as Toyotas old 2JZ-GTE. You could get a safe 800 hp on purely stock internals, if that's your thing. Amazingly strong motor.

Because Toyota has spent the last twenty years making sure no enthusiast wants to come near their dealerships. There was almost no way they were going to make this cool.

No need for a manual any more on the modern car. Auto or DCT for me all the way.
