Oh, if they make them I am sure that will be the case - look at the M2, M3, and M4 - they are identical in certain areas (wheels, brakes, diff) and close in others (engine, software).

This is cost savings at its finest and I am sure we will see that if they make the souped up models.

They will probably decrase the interiors room if they are doing this with Toyota and most probably are aiming the Asian market.

My last hope .

I am dreaming that BMW builds 500 limited production Z4M with stable roof get ride of heavy vent mechanism and put S65 power on DCT. .

That would shake the market and would bring back positive comments on the brand !

I would sleep outside my dealer overnight just to catch an allocation.

The things I would do for a proper E89 Z4M coupe that's actually light.
- I don't care if it's a limited run or a super mass produced car.
- S65 on 6MT (DCT optional) + LSD...Ideally, the 4.4L S65.
- Basically E92 M3 GTS suspension and brakes
- M treatment on exterior (359M wheels or a better 326M, flared out fenders, mirrors, carbon fiber here and there, quad exhaust tips, etc.)
- Optional awesome seats (see BMW Performance Seats) with carbon backs.
- Alcantara everywhere inside.
- Carbon Roof

Heck, I'll be very happy with an E89 Z4M with an S55...but I'd rather the S65 simply because of the sound and NA.

The one car I always wish bmw made was a z4m coupe with the s65 and dct similar to the one they made in 07 to whenever. A few hundred pounds lighter than my e92 and two seats would be amazing. That is a car I would keep forever.

Not a chance !

Try a 4er for that. Next gen 4er will have a ragtop too. Just like the 1st cars ever made had ragtops.

Light weight, simply elegant... Top down on the fly under 25-30 MPH. What is not to like !?!

It seemed that the hood line problem was solved in the G series....

From this pictures, it seems that this new car has the wrong hood line from the F series.....
