Football Viewership

Viewership for the league as a whole was down this season (a) due to the election, (b) due to the retirements of many good players, (c) most primetime games being blowouts, and (d) anthem protests. None of this will have any bearing on the SB especially if it's a Pats vs. Packers matchup.

I agree with your post. I think there is another factor. Since some of the games are on ESPN only, and that doubles the cost of TV for me, I opted out and only get the local channels and major networks. Speed TV went down along with the F1 broadcasts, and it was no longer worth it to me. ESPN was collateral damage, and so too the NFL. I was becoming a couch potato so got up and started doing things to be active. I would surf the channels and there was nothing interesting to watch. Win Win.

My God, $100+ per month for TV: That's a good chunk of a nice Lease on a BMW. No Comparison.
