Some things are potentially influenced by factors imposed by regulators. For example, rollover safety requirements will need to be reflected in aspects of the car such as the final design of the roll hoops and windshield frame. However, I fully agree that BMW's goal should be to have a production car that is as close to the concept as is reasonably possible.
