Maybe you should take a look at the actual sales figures. Cayman sales are terrible, there is no big opportunity for sports car sales. Unfortunately all of the sales growth is in SUV's and sales of coupes and sedans are tanking. We are fortunate to have the options we have today. Porsche is considering killing the Cayman, the only thing that will save it is commonality with the new 911. I follow the data and it isn't pretty so we need go get the cars we love while we can.
This, as much as I prefer the levity of the prior post, hit the coffin nail on the head. I agree, if you like real sports cars or even sports coupes/sedans buy them while you still can. The future has far fewer choices. Demographics, aging boomers...kids who have no desire or care to learn to drive, safety regulations, it's death by a thousand cuts.

So yes, buy while you can or hold on to what you've got.
