Z06 and Grand Sport owners complain about bent rims because it's a 19" and 20" ultra wide rims (10" and 12", respectively) riding on super low profile (30 and 25) tires. You can't build rims at that size and expect them to be indestructible. There's no way. Not even with forged wheels no matter how strong they are. It's simply leverage, size, weight and force of impact.
I bent 2 sets of 18" rims on my E46, and completely shattered a forged BBS RG-R. Simple physics when you run over potholes and large train tracks at speed.
