F80s aren't in the 60s any more practically.. and by that I mean F87
F80 and F82 are/were in the 80s already on many lots.

I don't disagree.. Porsche has ALWAYS been a super high price and they make the most profit for dollar of any marque.
ALL reasons that make me uncomfortable when I start looking at BMWs that are actually similarly priced, as opposed to a FANTASTIC VALUE.

I agree. The Z4 M40 seems to slot right between a $59,000 Boxster and $71,400 Boxster S.
if I prefer a roof (which I do).. Porsche HAS that option at $56,900 for 718 Cayman and $69,300 for 718 Cayman S.. whereas BMW doesn't.
Of course Porsche options are crazy... but it sure seems like the the most compelling option with respect to a 2020 Z4 is striking one's best deal on a leftover 2019 Porsche on the lot.
