Police cars? I guess if Andy was punishing Barney for something he might send him out in a patrol car, but the odds are that Barney would die of boredom before seeing anything worthy of pursuit.
If you haven't been out west you will be amazed at the lack of cars on the roads in Wyoming and Montana. In the old days, there was no speed limit in many places. The rule was "reasonable and prudent" so you might not get ticketed for driving a Lambo at 125 mph but you might get pulled over for driving a beat-up old clunker driving at 80 mph.
If I'm on the interstates on the east coast I'm cruising at 79 mph (really 76 as my speedometer overstates my speed by 3 mph) and really don't care about speed traps.
