No joke - we saw a pair of sneakers from some designer called "Golden Goose" that had been "distressed" to look like they were worn and dirty, like the kind you would throw out or give away.

PS: I have some old Asics sneakers that I was about to give away. I buy them brand new: first I run in them, then I wear them around the house, and then I move them to the garage for yard work. After about a year and a half, I either give them away or discard in the trash. But now I'm going to sell them for $795/pair because they REALLY look distressed. But for any member of these forums, I'll take 50% off.
