I can tell you one thing - the Honda SOHC engine should not belong there. DOHC (dual camshaft) engines are always better than SOHC (single camshaft) engines, which are slow and torqueless. I don't know why Honda keeps making them, and I don't know why it made onto the list. Why Ward's Auto, why????

Because it is cheaper to manufacture and can be constructed in the many Honda Motor plants we have in the US. Honda has always been about price, efficiency and affordability. DOHC and more complex motors are just not one of their goals.
