Something to consider is that the torque converter on the Steptronic will take the initial shock whereas there is only minimal clutch slippage with the manual.
M3 e46 don't have step, rather SMG.
I let you know if it breaks on launch #2.
My Convertible, won't do 13.4 I bet.
