I am a Glock fan but admit that a lot of nice guns have come out in the last few years. I would find a range that will rent you the ones you are most interested in and try them out first. Why the 9mm and not something else like .45? Do you plan on competing with it? How about modifications?
There are tons of nice guns out there at some really good prices right now. Good Luck
