Obviously there was some degree of sarcasm in my comparison to Nashville roads, but it is really pretty bad. They tend to just dump cold mix in them, and then the holes just end up getting worse, especially after a few days of rain. There are local lawyers that advertise that they handle pothole damage claims. Go figure.

I live south of Nashville in a different county, and we have great roads that are very well maintained. I work in Nashville and have learned to run the daily slalom course of potholes and erosion there.

Why would the city let it get that bad? Couldn't tell you, but it is getting worse, not better.
