In my younger days the first thing I'd do with a new car is rip the player and speakers and replace them with my choices. That's in the past....
Sound quality has really ramped up by high end luxury manufacturers since then. IMO it's a waste of time to do a mod or upgrade to the sound system of a convertible. A quiet X5, maybe.
BTW, while our X5 is in the local BMW Collision center being fixed we got a new Dodge Durango loaner from Enterprise. Man are we spoiled in every which way!
The "sound system" sounds like the crap of the 60's, just awful.
