This state punishes people who work for a living, has the highest real estate prices in the country outside of Manhattan, has the highest taxes in the nation, and doesn't have anything to show for it. California, by its very nature, is an attractive place. But the politicians here have slowly but surely been ruining the golden state over the decades.
For a big time car enthusiast like myself, this would be the final straw. I like a lot of aspects about living here, but after putting up with everything I mentioned above along with a ban on my favorite hobby, I'd have to call it quits on CA.

There seems to be a big loophole in that you could just buy a car out-of-state (ie. Oregon or Nevada) and simply drive it back to CA. Seeing how the auto industry is to slowly shifting to electric cars though, one has to wonder how good the selection of new ICE cars will even be by 2035. Maybe M cars won't even be ICE powered by that time.
