I'm 35 and have owned 10 cars so far, but aside from the current F80, the only car I've legitimately loved was my VR4. I grew up playing Gran Turismo and the green Puma GTO was always my favorite. I was obsessed with the 3/S platform, despite all of its flaws haha.
I had a base 3000GT for a couple years and then bought a VR4 in college (~2005-ish). Ended up spending wayyyyy too much money/time on it but man was it a great car. And a fun car to build myself. When I sold it, it was ~515awhp/tq and just a blast to drive. I still miss that car actually.
Despite all of their issues too the only problem I had was a stripped output shaft, which I replaced with a quadco steel one and I never had an issue again. I did go through a couple clutches though, but that was my own doing haha
