I'm a big believer in buying the best thing you can reasonably afford and driving it for as long as you possibly can. I'm 40 and the car I just ordered will only be the third car I've owned. I bought a used 1996 Acura Integra in high school, and drove it for nearly 14 years until I bought my BMW 128i in 2010. I just passed 100,000 miles, and the only reason I'm not keeping it for another five years is that I don't have enough information on the future of the 2 series. 2021 is my last chance to buy a German-made car, and it will likely be my last chance to get it in a smaller body style with a manual. So I decided to order a new 2021 m240i, which I'm hoping to have in December.

The 2021 2 series will likely be the last of its kind, so I'm hoping to keep it for 15 years.
