This is a LONG season and Max has never had a championship challenge, let alone, one that goes to the wire. Sir Lewis has been in 12 and has won 7. He lost a further 2 by less than 6 points in aggregate and yet another through horrible McLaren reliability.

He has come back from behind to win 3 of his championships...2 vs Ferrari and 1 vs his team mate.

His history and credentials are unassailable.

HAM's rookie year was 2007 and he lost the WDC by ONE POINT....
