I had both rubber pads stick to the windshield frame (came out of the top front rail). Luckily I didn't lose them and the dealer put them back in but they could easily be lost as mine both came out. I think these things are supposed to cushion the metal parts so they dont make nose.

Are you talking about the little black rubber rectangles next to the two locking hooks on the roof? If so, both of mine are present and seem to be solidly attached!
