Personally, they can shove their wheel insurance up their asses. If my wheels bend on the Z4 M40i, I’d find the lightest and adequately durable forged monoblocks and replace the Z4 stock wheels. No way I’d keep reusing their defective wheels over and over again.

I suspect their newer wheels don’t bend, which is why they even offer the insurance now. This is really bad company policy. Basically they’re using their own bad product design from awhile ago to manipulate previous BMW owners into paying for insurance they probably won’t need. If the wheels were bad, they wouldn’t offer the insurance. Most companies are more about squeezing the throat of their customers for every last bit of money than operating responsibly and ethically. Just look at the fiasco that VW created with their baloney Diesel engine outputs.
