Granted your vehicle is 250lb lighter than an F30 340i (rwd) & has a newer TU B58, I think it'll still be a bit difficult to achieve that 33-32 mpg unless you drive like a grandma :P
A new test procedure has recently been introduced to measure "real world" mpg consumption figures in all new cars. This is called the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure). For the new Z4 M40i in UK the figure that BMW quotes is 32.8 mpg.

This is for petrol (gas) measured in Imperial Gallons. The US Gallon is about 20% less than an Imperial Gallon so you need to adjust your figures accordingly; so 30 mpg In the US is equivalent to about 36 mpg when using Imperial Gallons.
