The 1,8 km long straight at Paul Ricard/Le Castellet is in fact called the Mistral straight. Unfortunately they added a left-right chicane halfway through.

By doing this, they took the soul out of a very special track. The blue and red paint made it even worse.

This is how it used to be:
The chicane may be a blessing to cut down on top speed with the risk of tyre blow out seemingly present more now.
