That was insanely dangerous. The Ferrari creeping back with other cars approaching at full speed. Remember, in those days signalling was limited with no radio comms and the cars were still death traps. Plus sections of the track are quite hilly and you can't see shit what's beyond the corner.
In fact, a similar situation (full speed car catching a slower car right after the corner) is what Gilles got killed 3 years later.

Looking at those vids sends a shudder through me with their uprotected necks and no halo's then thank goodness we've moved on to see the safety features up to date now.
