Thats a tough one. The Z4 is smaller and more nimble, however the inline-6 would be a nice upgrade from the 30i 4-cylinder. If it was me, I'd get the 240, but thats because I'm a cylinder snob and prefer a good ol' I6 to I4 any day, but of course your preference may differ. Some benefits of the 240 would be that you are already well acquainted and comfortable with your car, not to mention you would have x-drive for the winter, but honestly RWD and snow tires will be plenty fine, and the 2 would likely be more practical in cargo space, bigger/roomier interior, as well as a set of rear seats and easier to get in ride height, but then again, not too sure of what your preferences are.

I'm not sure when, but the Z4 is also likely to be discontinued after this generation, so another option would be to possibly buy out the lease.

Both are great cars, but I highly recommend you test drive both before making a decision.
