Yeah, it’s honestly a very unique vehicle. I can’t think of another truly high performance 3-banger, though maybe ford had a somewhat more mild but still decent one? I love how 3-cylinder engines sound.
In addition, plenty of compact cars have been given the “awd-turbo-manual” treatment and they’re all very cool in my book, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that philosophy applied to a true SUB-compact car, despite the WRC having moved on to subcompacts a couple of decades ago. 2800 lbs is absurdly light for a car with this kind of hardware in 2020. My celica weighed 3200 lbs and that was from 1988. The Mazda 323 gtx is the only thing kinda approaching that weight and that had about 130 hp. and like the celica, it’s from the 80s. This thing should have a similar power to weight ratio as an STI.
