I just want to put my 2 cents in here;
1, On factory oil, I did frequent high rev runs, even in semi manual gear, frequently pushed and shifted in redlines. Back then oil did evaporate pretty quick.
2, I changed to high performance oil for track days in around 3500km, since then I had no problem at all. I used Wakos Triple R 10w-40.
3, Around 10000km I switched to Pakelo Kryption Racing 10w-60, also never had trouble in that regard.
Note that I have B58 asian version with 340hp but retuned to 440whp.
I also drive car in sport mode often.
I do think if you drive in high rev all the time you need a better and thicker oil.
