Not to mention relatively light weight enabling the car to feel nimble and tossable, the engagement of changing your own gears (even in a DCT or Auto), the smell of your car after hard driving, etc.
Driving is a sensory experience. Once you eliminate feel, sound, and smell you've created a glorified golf cart. That's three of our human senses gone. All for what? So a handful of enthusiasts don't pollute while thousands of ships, planes, meat processing plants, etc. continue to function as is?
