Interesting idea, but don’t know how much it helps. You’ve still got to get them sharpened every so often just from the wear from use on a cutting board. Wood block storage does probably wear on edges, but the layout on ours is horizontal so as long as you slide them in without rubbing against the edge, in theory there’s no wear. But still, they get dull so have to get them sharpened.

Grinder wise, can’t believe this Capresso burr grinder has lasted the 15+ years I’ve had it. Hopefully not jinxing it *knocks on wood*
