And in the dry the difference is probably not very noticeable anywhere not at the limit. But I don’t imagine the siping works well when unidirectional tires are reversed.

With your staggered PSS tires rotate them on the same axle. Even with directional tires I've done this for several hundred miles to eliminate the cupping and then switch them back. No harm done running them backwards for awhile. I've never noticed any difference in handling, then again I'm never on a track or drive like I am.
