I am not as experienced with BMWs as you are - I have only owned 18 of them, including some Ms. As I have already said, I am not disappointed with my new Z. I think both my current BMWs are really great for different reasons. Glad you like your Z.
P.S. I will never love the ZF8 in my Z4, but will always love the 6MT in my M4. Big difference in driving pleasure.
