So yesterday I got my first taste of the G29 Z4 thanks to my local dealer (Sytner BMW Leicester) and I had the 2.0 version to try for the day.
I have to admit that I was not sold at all on the looks on launch but they have slowly grown on me and the more I saw of it on this forum, the more I liked it!
I was offered the 2.0 litre version which was perfect as I wanted to see what the “baby” in the current Z4 line up has to offer. From a purely looks point, I reckon it looks stunning even if this is the base M Sport model.
This was my first time driving a 4 cylinder 2.0 litre BMW engine for a long time and whilst the sound may be synthetic, I thought from a performance point of view it was spot on and suited the chassis really well. Throttle response was really good (though I am comparing that to my N52).
