That doesn't address security issues like being in your house with your phone 10 feet from the car and that allowing a comfort access unlock I imagine.

iPhone 11's all have the U1 chip. The Apple Car Play uses NFC, as the phone has to be very close. 10 ft away will not work.
As it was announced during the WWDC keynote today, keeping your phone in your pocket will work. Won't have to wait for MY2022, or maybe that will be the G80/G82 to embrace the large grill
