I just feel it looks better. If there are M badges everywhere else on my car and outside of my car then what's two more? Outside of the US they put the M badges on the 20i and 30i if you get the M Sports Package as well.
A Roush Stage 1 is still a Roush and therefore wears the Roush badging/decaling. Not so different from an M550i, M440i, M40i. It is by all technicalities considered an entry level M.

Why not order the gloss black side badges along with the gloss black trunk badges for your upcoming M40i? IND sells both in their G29 Aftermarket Parts and Accessories section and they are OEM.
