So, if you watch motorsports, it's not just WRC cars that crackle and pop. They have certain reasons that they do, but you'll see it all over the place, in addition to some LOUD cars. The crackle and pop doesn't need to go overboard and I do think it's kind of dumb, especially while shifting and so on, I'd rather just have it roar, but I don't want to hear the sound all the time, only when I'm getting on the throttle, and if I really want to hear it, I'll roll the windows down (so I don't want it pipped into the cabin). My 2SS 1LE had a "sound-tube" from the intake that pipped real sound into the cabin, but I plugged it, not necessary. Car still sounds great with NPP valve-exhaust. What I don't like is trucks with no mufflers that sound super loud just rolling around at normal speeds and high pitched weed-eaters that just put an axle-back exhaust on.

On the other hand, every time I start my car it "explodes" to life, valves are always open and it can be annoying for others. If it's not later in the day, I'll do the initial with the garage door closed and open it right after that happens, but I keep the exhaust in "track" mode all the time.
