Now the mid life cycle refresh 1st gen Z4 and Z4M coupe and convertible to me still looks great when I see them in the wild with the right trimmings

Considering it was designed in the late 90's it still holds its own and aged very well !!! It was way ahead of its time.
The e85 z4 was chasing Porsche in the beginning and was much more raw, the e89 era z4 was chasing the Nissan Z and they went away from chasing Porsche for a more comfy ride as that's what they thought their target customer for this car was wanting.
