While I agree with your premise, the pricing is all relative. A base Boxster starts at $60k and becomes $70k in the blink of an eye when you throw in comparable options (leather, PDK, decent wheels, etc.). And let's not forget that BMW is far more willing to negotiate on pricing and offers more friendly lease terms than Porsche.
Regardless, these manufacturers keep complaining that nobody buys these little convertibles....just look at how you're pricing them to see why!
If I'm not mistaken, the first gen Z4 started in the low $40Ks?
