Sounds like renting a car is the way to go, especially when that hotel has parking included. I've actually reserved a car with Sixt a few weeks back just in case. Is a 1 series, VW Polo or Golf too big for the small roads of Amalfi Coast?

If you are use to driving in small towns in Europe, you can even go bigger car wise. The roads are tight but people don't speed, never saw one accident while there and the rental I had never got bumped or scratched.
