Sorry you got stuck with MHD like that. Their website shows G29 support. Did you try contacting their support or your seller for a refund?
I can vouch that BM3 does indeed work on US Spec Z4 M40i. I have their stage 2 map (version2.1 currently) flashed. Only issue I have is my remote start no longer works.
