Yes I tuned it myself. OBD cable and a laptop and done in 5 minutes. Have a catless downpipe. However, DP alone doesn’t void warranty. It’s the flash tune that will void the warranty. MHD would do the same thing. Any ECU flash will void your warranty.

Their website doesn’t specify expected HP gains as a figure because each engine will perform differently due to operating environment. Instead, they specify expected percentage change over stock because of how BMW programs their ECUs based on power output thresholds instead of set parameters. Meaning if the output threshold is 15% and based on the operating environment it can reach that with less boost/more timing (or visa versa), then it will do so. Because of this, they can’t say “expect +40hp on stage 1” because it may be +30hp for one engine, and +50hp for another.

For example, an engine operating near sea level has normal air pressure/density to work with. Therefore, it may produce 380hp at the crank under these conditions. If the threshold is Increased by 15%, it only needs to work a little harder to reach that goal, netting a +57hp increase. However, that same engine operating at 5,000 feet may produce 345hp, but with the increased threshold set to 15% still, it has to work harder to reach that threshold, but ultimately does netting an increase of +52hp.
