But those floor changes apply to everyone. The banning of DAS only affected MERC.
The gain of RB on MERC is significant.
In Baku HAM was unable to pass PER on that long straight despite DRS.
Having DAS, adjusting to 0deg toe on the straigt gives less tyre friction on top speed and adjusting to more negative toe in the corners give more grip.
I think missing both adjustments played a role in that HAM couldn't overtake PER time after time on the long straights despite having DRS every time.
And of course there have been changes, but the chassis have been largely carried over. I think this seasons change saw the least changes therefore, so it's the more strange that the gap between MERC and RB has been so changed.
