4C over nearly anything else if you want raw feel and excitement driving normal roads.

To this point, I wonder if the OP might add an elise to his list of sports car possibilities. While it won't have that V8 sound, it will be revelationary in its feel, nimbleness, and rawness compared to his F80. They're pretty cheap too, and with the toyota engine not outrageous to maintain.
