To answer an earlier question of why it should bother some and not others for the fake badges? It feels, to me, in the same arena as "stolen valour". Now, stolen valour is a crime and an egregious insult to those who have served with distinction in the military whereas plastering a couple of badges on your bonnet is more tragic humour. Nevertheless, both are masquerading in order to gain underserved accolades from the ignorant.
