North America is large and spread out so it's going to take a lot longer here for the infrastructure to be in place so it's no surprise EV sales are very low in North America compared to EU. I'm sure people in EU feel the same about us but most North Americans don't really care much about what EU is doing with all their EV laws. Gasoline is cheap here so car buyers don't have a lot of motivation to switch to EV especially with the current limited ranges they offer between charges.
I agree I feel like it won't be standard here for a LONG time.

With that said its been said that in 2024 the next gen m5 will be made in BEV/PHEV. This change makes me wonder if gas will disappear sooner than we think, or not.
