BMW needs to go back to the drawing board with the 7-series and attempt to design a truly beautiful car inside and out. In my opinion the last 7-series to do it right was the E65 LCI. It looked low, wide, and stately whereas the two generations since look like whales. The current 7-series design is lame as well, there's nothing distinctive or special about it. However this Merc interior screen is controversial, so BMW has an opportunity to integrate their tech better.

Agree, the E65 LCI was the last 7er I truly liked, I still like the E38 more but I do miss the bangle era where each BMW sedan at the time at least looked different from one another and had their own distinctive character.
Merc will also be releasing the EQS Flagship EV soon as well so it will be interesting to see if any S-Class owners may convert, as well as how BMW's i7 (which will not be using a pure BEV platform) will compete.
