To the point people think Tesla's are boring or "everyone has one". There's a reason for that, if you believe in the company, CEO, and technology then its a no brainer.
I believe the $160k model is purely a "first edition" type model and for those who want pure speed and record breaking 1/4 mile times and the first models that will arive. The Grand Touring ($139k) and Touring Models ($95k) are likely aimed towards flagship luxury buyers (S-Class, 7er, A8), as they tout a luxurious and space efficient cabin as a big highlight (full-size interior with mid-size exterior) and an $80k base model coming last. This also lines up with the Model S which has two models at $75k and $95k.
